We made it! But it has been an adventure! The day we arrived at the boat in Athens, we were told to stay in customs, that we were not allowed to board. Another in a series of delays, we were annoyed but at least we were at the boat. Then the military showed up. Turns…

So! What was supposed to be a three hour layover in Frankfurt has turned out to be a bit longer. Freezing rain grounded all flights. But, the folks at Lufthansa were great. They got us hooked up with a hotel and dinner and rebooked flights. It’s still not great out but it looks like we’ll…

Dan is in an airport!
Awaiting boarding at DIA! From here it’s a mere 9hours to Frankfurt, then on to Athens, in a scant 15 hours we’ll be on a boat. I hate flying. I may die of boredom. But! We will be in Greece soon!

Going to be on a boat!
I’m going to be on a boat! Tomorrow afternoon we’ll be getting on an airplane in Denver and flying to Germany. Then from Germany we’ll bounce to Athens, then get on a boat to drift about the Agean sea! I’ll share stuff from here!
